Protect health and control from the source - Xi'an Yanshuo Instrument helps the quality upgrade of the hygiene products industry

A shady incident in the sanitary napkin industry exposed at the CCTV 315 party in 2025 has aroused great concern about the safety of feminine care products in the whole society. According to reports, some companies have recycled defective products, refurbished production waste for "secondary sales", and even reprocessed moldy raw materials into products, seriously threatening consumer health. This incident exposed serious loopholes in raw material screening, production process supervision, and destruction of defective products. As a manufacturer who has been deeply involved in the field of hygiene product testing for many years, we know that quality and safety are no small matter, and testing technology is the key line of defense. In order to protect everyone's safety, Yanshuo Instruments is committed to scientific and technological power to protect consumer trust! Shocking industry chaos 1. Refurbished industry chain of defective products Purchase sanitary napkins and diaper production waste at low prices, screen "second-class products" and resell them at high prices, and even crush the waste into raw materials for secondary use. 2. Well-known brands are involved in the turmoil The production waste of well-known brands flowed into the black market, and some live broadcast rooms were urgently suspended to avoid the limelight, and consumer rights protection voices were rising. 3. Health risks cannot be ignored Inferior sanitary napkins can lead to health problems such as HPV infection and allergies, and the mother and baby group has become the hardest hit area. At present, the main standards implemented by sanitary napkin products in China are the recommended national standard GB/T 8939-2018 "Sanitary napkins (pads)" and the mandatory national standard GB 15979-2024 "Hygiene Requirements for Disposable Sanitary Products". So, how does a qualified sanitary napkin pass through the layers of professional laboratories and finally deliver it to consumers?

The following is an introduction to the high-attention test items

Experiment 1: Full-length deviationGB/T8939-2018 The allowable range of full-length deviation of sanitary napkins/pads is ±4%. For the measurement of full-length deviation, the standard has a detailed method: measure the full length of the specimen with a ruler (measured from the longest part of the specimen) to an accuracy of 1mm, measure 6 specimens for each sample of the same size, 6 specimens from at least two sales packages, and take at least 2 pieces per pack.

Experiment 2: Absorption rateThe absorption speed directly affects the user experience. In GB/T8939-2018, sanitary napkins require an absorption speed of ≤ 60S, that is, a standard synthetic test solution simulated by 5mL of simulated complete absorption within 60S. At present, it has been found that good sanitary napkins can often be completely absorbed within 10S.Experiment 3: Migratory fluorescent materialSome consumers will use home fluorescent detection pens to judge fluorescent agents, but this method is not scientific. GB/T8939-2018 requires that the suspicious fluorescence part after the initial measurement is cut and extracted with an extraction solution, and then the pure cotton gauze is impregnated to detect the "migratory" fluorescent substances at the specified ultraviolet wavelength.

Experiment 4: pH detectionIf the pH value of sanitary napkins is weakly acidic, it is closer to the human skin environment, and the acidic environment is not conducive to the growth of most pathogenic microorganisms. GB/T8939-2018 has a pH requirement of 4.0-9.0.

Experiment 5: Microbial testingIf sanitary napkins contain pathogenic microorganisms (such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, etc.), they may cause gynecological inflammation. The total number of bacterial colonies in GB 15979-2024 is less than or equal to 200 CFU/g; Total number of fungal colonies required: less than or equal to 100 CFU/g; Coliform bacteria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and hemolytic streptococcus shall not be detected. Xi'an Yanshuo Instruments: Build a scientific and technological defense line for safety Our company has implemented GB/T 8939-2018 "Sanitary napkins (pads)" for sanitary napkins, and GB/T28004.1-2021 "Diapers Part 1: Baby Diapers" and GB/T28004.2-2021 "Diapers Part 2: Adult Diapers" and other standards have been launchedA full set of product testing solutions, helping enterprises achieve 360-degree quality control from raw materials to finished products. Rebuild industry confidence with technology Our company will continue to develop and innovate to promote testing technology towards intelligence, digitalization and traceability. Protecting every peace of mind with accurate testing In the face of industry crises, we are not only the provider of instruments, but also the protector of the health ecology.
